Mass timber is an engineered wood product made from layers of wood bonded with adhesives to create structural panels, beams, and columns. Common types include cross-laminated timber (CLT) and glue-laminated timber (glulam). Mass timber reduces carbon emissions compared to concrete and steel, help sequesters carbon, enables quicker and safer construction, and provides warm, attractive interior spaces.
