Description
The City of Kelowna's Mill Creek Flood Protection Bylaw (Bylaw No. 10248, adopted 2010) is a hazard management tool that requires buildings in the Mill Creek floodplain to be constructed at a specific Flood Construction Level (FCL) to protect them from flooding.
As there are many other creeks in Kelowna (e.g., Brandts Creek, Mission Creek), it is recommended the same approach be applied to creeks across the community.
