Description
While a Hazard Risk and Vulnerability Analysis (HRVA) was traditionally a requirement mandated by the Local Authority Emergency Management Regulation of the BC Emergency Program Act, the new Emergency and Disaster Management Act requires risk assessments to consider how climate change may affect hazards in local jurisdictions. The Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment completed in 2023 to inform the CRKS likely fufills this requirement, and therefore could be used to inform local HRVAs from a climate hazard perspective.
