Description
To allow for transit service expansion and accomodate electric bus charging, the City is upgrading its existing transit facility on Hardy Street in the short term (2025 and 2026). The new facility will see capacity increased to 125 buses, electric bus charging infrastructure and improved administrative maintenance and bus wash functions.
The City will also be developing a new, larger transit operations and maintenance facility near UBCO. The new facility will enable service hour increases targeted in the Transit Future Action Plan and support the planned transition to a low-carbon fleet.
Completed designs of enhancements to the Hardy Transit Centre which includes charging infrastructure to support a minimum of 16 battery electric buses proposed to begin serving the region in 2027.
Advanced project development for the proposed future new Hollywood Transit Centre.
