B2.3Expand the local green business certification program with a focus on GHG emissions reduction and climate resilience

Non-residential buildings represent 15% of the current building stock. Expanding climate mitigation and adaptation certification programs for businesses supports them in undergoing retrofits to become more energy efficient and mate resilient.
In partnership with GreenStep, Kelowna businesses have access to a free Climate Action Program. This training program is aligned with the Climate Resilient Kelowna Strategy and aims to help businesses cut costs and emissions, while building climate resilience.
