Energy Step Code and Zero Carbon Step code can benefit from local policies that help facilitate the transition to high-performance low carbon homes.

Kelowna completed an industry readiness survey in 2025 to understand local barriers and opportunities in relation to these policies. Further engagement and analysis will be completed as these policies advance to higher steps.
